Three Strikes, You're Out!

Kenji had arrived in Cryanthum Town from the falls, it was a long walk through high grasses and numerous wild pokemon, but the gym was well worth the trek. The town was situated near a forest with numerous poison and ghost types, so naturally that's what Kenji was expecting going into this battle. What he wasn't expecting were the rules for this particular gym. He had never engaged in a triple battle, and Kenji was about to be in for a serious surprise.

Hello? Anyone home? He called out as the glass doors slid back to reveal an unbearably humid greenhouse with numerous dangerous looking plants growing across the walls and encasing the entire building. Sharp barbs and poisonous leaves came from every direction and at first Kenji thought he had made a wrong turn somewhere.

Heeeeeeey.. Welcome to my gym Lilian said exhaling the area smelling like some sort of burning plant, Lillian's eyes all red and what not. Oh yeah your here to battle. she said staring at him seriously for a few seconds before bursting out laughing hysterically and then was quiet once more. Well throw out your pokemon and I'll throw out mine. she said pulling out three pokeball's and then smiling before looking up her eyes unfocused

Kenji didn't really know what to make of this girl, she was so...strange. Then again he had run into his fair share of odd humans in life, so there was no point in dwelling on this subject. He did as he was told, thinking for a moment as to which pokemon he should use for this battle, Hmm how about...Shelgon, Aries, and....ONIX!!! Kenji cried out as he tossed the 3 pokeballs into the air. Three flashes of light and suddenly his trio emerged. Aries was perched atop Onix's head, his feet on the monster's stone horn with his back against its skull, looking rather bored as he inspected his claws. Onix rose high so he was intimidating and nearly scraped the ceiling of the gym. As for Shelgon, the little ball of energy just ran circles around Onix's massive form. The three pokemon truly were a sight to see, it was quite funny.

Awesome pokemon Lillian said spacing out and then shaking her head throwing out three pokeballs revealing her pokemon a Skorupi, Croagunk and a Muk. Alright then I'll get the first move. she said her Muk using Poison gas and filled the whole room with the toxic fumes and actually thanks to its ability had poisoned all three of Kenji's team after all it was the middle pokemon. Meanwhile Croagunk used rain dance and it started to rain inside of the gym Skorupi using that to its advantage and using poison sting aiming at the Onix as they were attempting to get rid of it first.

Hmm poison types? I should've figured. Guys we need to make this as fast as possible. All 3 of his pokemon nodded as Onix quickly burrowed deep beneath the ground, using dig and avoiding the Skorupi's attack. Aries dropped back behind Shelgon as they took the long range attack position and let loose an ember towards the oncoming Skorupi. Shelgon then let loose a draco meteor which mixed with the rain dance and fell upon Muk and Croagunk, with no room to dodge, it'd be hard to miss. Onix remained hidden deep under ground, waiting for his moment to strike.

Well that's not cool dude Lillian said as one of the Draco Meteor's hit Croagunk OHKO'ing it due to the gap in levels, meanwhile SKorupi was chucked by Muk and landed right in front of the Combusken and using a point Blank X-Scizzor. Meanwhile Muk managed to stay alive luckily avoiding the dangers and then used Shadow Punch twice hitting Shelgon into the air with an uppercut and then smashing him back down to the ground as the punches manifested from the shadows

Unfortunately for Skorupi, while the pokemon was flying through the air, Onix took this time to resurface. Intercepting Skorupi's attack and most likely squishing the bug against the ceiling with a dig attack. Shelgon was a quick thinker, the pokemon saw the shadow punch coming and immediately used protect, stopping the first and breaking the chain for the second. Aries had been watching the whole thing and immediately ran up beside Muk, dropping an ember into the monstrous ooze's face.

Woah..that's mean. Lillian said withdrawing Skorupi as it had fainted and frown Muk using explosion and fainting itself as taking a huge chunk of the Combusken's hp only for it to faint due to the poison. Huh its over. Lillian said with a frown walking away and then stopping realizing he was supposed to be given a reward. Oh. Here you go. she said giving him the standard gym leader envelope and then walking back to her inner room to continue smoking.

Kenji began humming 'And another one bites the dust' as the very dust that was kicked up by the explosion, began to settle. Aries walked out from the cloud of filth that had once been a Muk and coughed a few times but waved off the damage for the most part. The rest of his team was looking great and that's because they were, together they had just won a gym battle in well under 5 minutes. Kenji accepted his winnings and exited the gym.
