Personality: Ryuuichi is a calm and determined guy. He never gives up until he reaches his goal and always gets things done in the end. This is shown through his determination in roaming an area for months just to find a specific Pokemon that he is looking for. It also shows through him facing a gym over and over again, never moving on, until he is capable of beating it.

He doesn't let things get under his skin, or at least tries to, and always forms a strategy for battle. He's always wanted to follow in his father's foot steps and be a trainer, but there has always been a secret enjoyment in watching Coordinators. He hopes one day he can do both, but for now he just wants to focus on being a Trainer.

History: Ryuuichi's life is a simple and short one. He grew up with his mother on her breeding farm, learning about the different types of Pokemon out there and playing with them. His father would tell him stories about his travels and battles whenever his father visited home during his journey.

One day when Ryuuichi was helping out in the farm, he found an egg. They didn't know who it belonged to and so left it. They would watch to see who the egg belonged to, but no Pokemon ever went near it. So after a few days, Ryuuichi went and took the egg inside. He cared for it, keeping it warm, and hoped one day it would hatch.

A few months later the egg hatched into a Chimchar. Ryuuichi was so happy when the Pokemon hatched from its egg. The two bonded over the next two years, and Ryuuichi and Chimchar were always spending their time together. Now Ryuuichi is old enough to start his journey. Chimchar and Ryuuichi were going to go all the way to the Pokemon League together.
