Here Comes a New Challenger

The next day, Wes and his pokemon got up and ate food "Alright, this is it. We're going to challenge the gym in this city. Are we ready?" Wes said. Skeleon, Shroomish, Pasima, and Trapinch cheered. After they finished eating, Wes recalled them back to there pokeballs and then left the pokemon center and went to the gym.

I see you have come to challenge my gym. Mike said sitting on top of a small cliff which was inside of his gym for some odd reason. So beat it. Mike said jumping off of the cliff and landing on the ground before getting up and dusting himself off. Lets battle. he said throwing out his pokeball out coming Roggenrola.

"Shroomish, go!" Wes said as he throws out shroomish's pokeball and he comes out "Are you ready, Shroomish?" Wes asked. "Shroom Shroom!" Shroomish replied with a determined look. " Alright, Shroomish use leech seed and follow it with tackle!" Shroomish followed the command and goes to leech seed to seed Roggenrola and follow it with tackle.

Heh Typical a grass type. Mike said with a smirk as his Roggenrola jumped dodging the leech seed and then used Sand attack twice on the grass pokemon getting sand in its eyes and lowering its accuracy. Big mistake because now I'll show you just how strong I am.

"Shroom!" Shroomish said as he tries to get the sand out of his eyes. "Shroomish, jump in the air and spin then use stun spore." Wes said. Even while the accuracy was lowered, Shroomish jumped in the air and spins, and goes to use stun spore to spread it on the field.

Rock Tomb. Mike said Roggenrola using Rock tomb and hitting/ trapping the Shroomish in the rocks lowering its speed and blocking the Stun Spore attacks as the rocks doubled as a wall. The Roggenrola would then use Rock tomb again further encasing the grass pokemon in rock.

"Shroomish, dodge and use leech seed" Wes says. Shroomish goes to dodge use leech seed on Roggenrola so that it would be seeded as it was going for another rock tomb.

Roggenrola Dodge that attack. Mike said as his Roggenrola moved out of the way of the seeds Now then Rock tomb again! he said as his pokemon used rock tomb to encase the Shroomish however this was nothing more than a distraction and if the Shroomish dodged the attack the Roggenrola would hit it with a powerful headbutt, the rock like pokemon's attack stat would easily allow it to finish off the grass type pokemon with just that hit.

Wes looks around the field "Shroomish, dodge and jump on the rocks and use stun spore" Wes said. Shroomish follows his command and dodges the rock tomb and jumps on the rocks and goes to use stun spore.

The Roggenrola was paralyzed but it had done just what it wanted and it then hit the Shroomish with a headbutt which resulted in a critical hit causing the plant pokemon to faint on the spot. Alright that was a good tactic. Paralyzing my pokemon in anticipation for yours to be defeated. Now lets see what other pokemon you have to throw at me. Mike said with a smirk.

Wes recalls Shroomish back his pokeball and takes out another one "Go, Trapinch!" He says as he throws the pokeball out and Trapinch comes out. "Trapinch use sand-attack twice" Wes says. Trapinch followed the command and goes to use sand attack twice at Roggenrola

Roggenrola close the distance Mike said as his pokemon ran forward getting hit by both sand attacks but still managing to land a headbutt on the Trapinch due to the close proximity of the two, the Roggenrola was about to finish the Trapinch off with a second attack however it halted thanks to the paralysis. Rola..

"Trapinch, use bite and then step back" Wes says. Trapinch followed the command and used bite while Roggenrola was paralyzed and then stepped back so that it won't in range of roggenrola's next attack.

The Roggenrola was bitten but thanks to its sky high defenses, the attack wasn't fatal. The Roggenrola then used Rock Tomb and hit the Trapinch lowering its speed by one and attempted to move and ran forward about to attack with a headbutt before stopping in its tracks yet again. Damn it, you can do this Roggenrola Mike said cheering for his pokemon.

"You can do it, Trapinch! Use Sand Attack and then bite!" Wes said cheering his pokemon on. Trapinch used sand attack and followed it with a bite, and with the ability, sheer force, the bite attack was increased

Roggenrola Headbutt!!! Mike shouted his Roggenrola managing to headbutt the Trapinch just as it was bite the two pokemon injuring themselves and both of them fainting on the spot. Hey Kid I'll give you some credit you beat my Roggenrola. But now. I'm going to get serious lets go Cranidos. he said recalling his pokemon and out came Cranidos ready for action.

"You did well, Trapinch" Wes said as he recalls his pokemon and takes out another pokeball. "Go, Pasima!" He says as he throws out the pokeball and Pasima comes out. "Alright, Pasima use charm and then tackle!" Pasima goes to use charm and then goes for a tackle"

Alright lets show him how its done. Cranidos Rock Tomb. Mike said with a smirk as the Rocks fell and encased the Pasima preventing Charm from being used on it and lowering the Pasima's speed by one. The Cranidos then ran forward and headbutted the Pasima head on as it was tackled both pokemon clashing and the Cranidos taking some damage from the tackle due to its weak defenses however the Pasima fainted due to Cranidos's monster attack stat.

Wes recalled Pasima "good job, Pasima" Wes says. Wes then takes out another pokeball "Go, Skeleon!" Wes says as he throws out the pokeball and Skeleon comes out. "Let's do this, Skeleon" Skeleon lets out a roar out of determination.

That must be your starter..I can tell from the look in its eyes. Heh Alright then lets go, I can tell this will be an interesting battle. Mike said as Cranidos would use Leer on the Skeleon and then would follow up with a Rock Tomb seeing as it couldn't use Headbutt on the Ghost type.

"Skeleon, dodge and charge at Cranidos then use tail whip and then sand-attack" Wes said. Skeleon followed his command and charged at Cranidos and goes to use tail whip and then sand-attack

The Cranidos ran forward and attempted to use Rock Tomb on the Skeleon sacrificing itself to be able to deal damage to the odd ghost pokemon. Boom! Mike said as the attack connected but his pokemon's accuracy and defense were lowered however Skeleon took a hard hit and another hit would mean the end of the poor pokemon.

Skeleon stepped back and started breathing hard. "Are you okay, Skeleon" Wes said concerned. Skeleon stopped breathing hard "Skele~" Skeleon said. Due to Skeleon's ability, Cursed Body, rock tomb is disabled. "Skeleon, go up the cliff and use Astonish and confuse ray" Wes said. Skeleon runs up the cliff and goes to use Astonish and then confuse ray. Because it was a gym, the shout would echo.

The Cranidos saw the Skeleon about to try and pull something and then did something unexpected it ran forward narrowly dodging the Confuse Ray and used Pursuit hitting the Skeleon just as it was hit by the Astonish the super effective hit being lethal to the Skeleon. Damn.. Mike said pausing as both pokemon hit the floor. Cranidos slowly stood up revealing that it had eaten an Oran berry prior to running at the Skeleon with some of its health being restored. Seems like I've won...unless you have any more pokemon.

"Ske...Skel...Skele" Skeleon says as he struggles to get up. He didn't want the battle to end. "Skeleon..." Wes looks as he sees Skeleon struggling to get up. "Skeleon...that's enough" Wes says as he goes up to him and picks him up "You did well" Wes looks at Mike. "I have another pokemon. Unfortunately, its a high level so it can't be used now. So, I will take this defeat"
