Here Goes....Nothing Really

Kenji walked through the doors of the first gym and spread his arms, Hello hello hello, anyone home? Kenji is reporting for duty and ready to take on the big bad gym leader. It was funny because just moments before Kenji had been scared shitless while he waited for Nurse Joy to heal his pokemon. The Nurse had offered kind words to support the obviously nervous young trainer. The words had helped, barely, but at least they had been something. The nurse was quite kind and in Kenji's opinion a lot hotter than the regular Nurse Joys. That however, was not what he should be thinking about at this point. Right now it was time to take down a gym leader and with his new Onix it should be a piece of cake. Kenji liked cake and as he waited for the gym leader to appear, thoughts of cake danced in his head.

Oh so you came to joke eh? Well lets see how good of a jester you are when I wipe the floor with you. Mike said sitting on his cliff...Like really why the fuck did he have a cliff in his gym. Let go. he said jumping off the cliff and hitting the ground landing on all fours his pokeball landing a few seconds after out coming his Roggenrola. You feeling lucky punk?

Kenji watched the relatively large man jump down to the ground and said, Well aren't we a bit cocky? Wait that's just me. He chuckled at his own stupid humor before tossing a pokeball into the air. In a flash of light out came Panboo who looked at the rock pokemon and snickered. Panboo was usually quite timid but apparently he found something funny in the appearance of this pokemon. Panboo start off with a leech seed and follow up with Bullet Seed. Kenji ordered as his pokemon hurled seeds at the rock type and then inhaled greatly before spitting several green seeds at the gym leader's pokemon.

You know the thing I had about people with Grass pokemon. They always try to use those crappy non damaging moves on my pokemon. Mike said as the battle started once Panboo had emerged from its pokeball and Roggenrola had used Rock Tomb on it blocking the Leech Seed with the rocks as the earth rumbled. The Roggenrola rolled out of the way of the bullet seed and then would use another Rock Tomb to encase the Panboo even further.

Come on Panboo, show em what you got! Kenji said, encouraging Panboo not to loose to the likes of this stupid rock. The pokemon mimicked the Roggenrola, rolling out from under the rock tomb before they could crush him. Panboo rolled forward, but didn't stop, gaining momentum as he launched himself into the Roggenrola with a tackle attack. Whether the attack hit or not Panboo would follow up with another Bullet Seed attack to end this battle quickly.

Roggenrola now! Mike said as Roggenrola was hit with the tackle replying with an Headbutt and causing the Panboo to flinch. Again. he said his pokemon hitting the Panboo once more since they were so close to each other and sending it skidding back away from it. Roggenrola. the rock pokemon said as it moved back putting some more distance between it an its adversary.

Panboo moved back, involuntarily of course thanks to that damn headbutt. Ok shake it off Panboo, use defense curl twice and then wait, let's put them on the offensive for a change. Panboo nodded, shaking its head. Those headbutts had really screwed with the poor little panda pokemon, but he was back up and ready for more. The pokemon curled its body in on itself twice, raising its defense greatly before standing on all fours once again and waiting for an attack.

Heh you want us on the offensive? So be it. Mike said with a laugh as the Roggenrola would walk forward and kick up sand using sand-attack twice on the Panboo hopefully lowering its accuracy so it would have an even harder time of hitting the pokemon. Rola the pokemon said with a smirk.

Kenji cringed as Panboo was hit by the two sand-attacks, not because it hurt the pokemon but because he knew what he had to do, Panboo return! Kenji said, holding out the pokemon's ball and absorbing him back into his home. Kenji had to return the pokemon so he could wipe away the negative status effects of sand-attack, unfortunately it also wiped away the positive defense stats. Kenji threw another pokeball into the air and this time the pokemon was much larger....and fatter. Snorlax appeared from the pokeball, and Kenji smiled, Ok big guy, let's see what metronome has in store for us today. Kenji said as Snorlax began to lazily wave his magical finger around.

The almighty metronome was used and Snorlax used.....Memento the Snorlax fainting but lowering the Special attack and Attack of the Roggenrola by two stages. Well that was a fail don't you think? Mike said with a small chuckle as his Roggenrola used harden twice on itself boosting its defenses higher to compensate from the attack stat it had lost. Rola the pokemon said shaking its body in anticipation of a new opponent.

Huh... Kenji said, looking at the face down Snorlax, well that's a damn shame. He concluded his thought, returning the massive pokemon to its pokeball. He chucked another pokeball onto the field, this time Panboo appeared yet again. Defense Curl then Bullet Seed, harden won't protect it against that. Kenji said as Panboo yawned and scratched itself but did as it was told, raising its defenses before unleashing a volley of bullet seeds.

The Roggenrola saw the Panboo and immediately knew what to do it quickly went into full on support mode and would take the bullet seed head on but not before using two sand attacks which hit the Panboo lowering its accuracy by 2 stages. Heh there we go Roggenrola now your getting the hand of things. he said with a smirk recalling his pokemon and then throwing out his Cranidos

Tch, if you're switching then so am I. Let's go Kujo!! Kenji declared as he returned Panboo and threw out a different pokeball. Kujo appeared, excitedly dancing about and jogging in place as he saw his opponent. Kujo, start things off just like he did, Sand attack and follow up with a dragon rage! Kenji ordered as Kujo kicked up dirt and dust into the Cranidos's face. Through the dirt and dust cloud came a powerful blue stream of energy, otherwise known as dragon rage.

I knew you were going to switch. Mike said his pokemon using Leer the dragon pokemon hesitating as its defense was lowered Cranidos using Rock Tomb and sealing in the dragon as he dodged the sand attack the stones blocking the dragon rage. Note of reference. I hate dragons. he said with a frown, Cranidos pawing the ground and crouching low getting serious.

Kujo looked at the rocks surrounding him and chuckled as he jumped onto one, bounced off of it and scrambled to the top of a second before doing a back flip onto the ground. Kenji laughed and said, Note of reference, I don't think he gives a damn. Gible nodded vigorously, agreeing with his trainer before letting loose another dragon rage and running forward, ready to use tackle when he got close. He also stayed low to the ground however, in case Cranidos decided to take the Dragon Rage and attack.

Aye but he does. Mike said with a chuckle as Cranidos started running forward dodging the dragon rage by moving in a zig zag pattern and hitting the Gible head on with a Headbutt as it was hit with the tackle the two pokemon being knocked back from the clash. Crush it! Mike said as his pokemon pressed on and would follow up with another Headbutt as it regained its composure

Kujo was on his feet in an instant as the Cranidos rushed him, Just wait for it Kujo, time it right. Kenji said, offering words of advice to his little dragon pokemon. Kujo nodded and ran towards Cranidos to meet it head on but before Cranidos could hit him, Kujo jumped into the air, spinning in mid air. As he jumped he faced Cranidos's back and let loose a powerful Dragon Rage before touching down on the ground and using a second Dragon Rage.

The good thing about charging forward is that one must force itself to stop to actually stop. So even though Gible jumped over Cranidos, Cranidos didn't stop its charge and the Dragon Rage aimed at its current position missed because of its running. Turn around. Mike said moving quickly to the side dodging the other incoming Dragon Rage. Now attack again. Mike yelled as Cranidos charged again at the Gible.

Kujo sighed, disappointed at the miss of his two attacks, however instead of giving up the little dragon waited as Cranidos drew closer before using sand attack to try and have the current headbutt miss. Just in case it didn't miss, Kujo unleashed yet another dragon rage on the Cranidos from close range. Combined with the sand attack and the short distance between the two, it would be next to impossible to dodge this attack.

Lowering its head down Cranidos stopped its charging sliding closer to Gible but using Rock Tomb as its feet slid. With that rocks shot out of the ground around Gible holding it in place as well as stopping its attacks before they even left Gible's presence. Now cranidos attack it again. Mike yelled having Cranidos charge at Gible preparing to hit it with headbutt.

Unfortunately for Cranidos the rocks it had dropped on Gible were in the way of its attack. So instead of hurting poor Kujo, Cranidos merely ran right into one of the rocks holding him, harming itself. Kujo snickered before using tackle to break one of the rocks and freeing himself. Kujo dropped to the ground and ran towards Cranidos who was most likely stunned from the unexpected collision with its own attack, and leaped towards the dinosaur using a second tackle attack.

Shaking its head a little Craindos wasn't really effected by the strike as it was used to this kind of attacks. Seeing Gible coming at it again, Cranidos wasn't going to disappoint. Jumping at Gible, Cranidos used headbutt colliding with Gible. The resulting crash sent both pokemon sliding back to the ground. Cranidos this isn't over yet. Mike said as Cranidos struggled to get up after receiving that damage.

Kujo wasn't looking much better, the poor little thing was exhausted from all the moving about and the two headbutts it had received. Kenji said, Ok buddy finish this guy up and then you can take a nice long nap. Excited about the promise of a peaceful slumber, Kujo jogged in place with pleasure before taking off at huge speeds and cloaking itself in a dragon rage. He combined the two attacks tackle and dragon rage, attempting to take the Cranidos out in a head on collision. Kenji stared wide eyed at his pokemon's new combo move, he certainly hadn't taught him anything like that.

Slow it down. Rock Tomb. Mike ordered as Cranidos roared forcing rocks to shoot up out of the ground in front of Gible creating a shield. Of course the shield wasn't strong enough to hold but not like Cranidos only created one, actually he created about 4, each one slowing Gible's speed and power. Now Headbutt. Mike said as Cranidos would headbutt Gible as it finally got close with its lowered power and speed making it able to being hit.

Gible saw the in coming attack and smashed through the first boulder but Kenji then ordered, Use Dragon Rage, launch yourself into the air! Kujo aimed a dragon rage at the ground and propelled himself into the air, over the other boulders. The pokemon sailed through the air, still using his dragon rage/tackle combo move and landed on the Cranidos. The Cranidos, who had already been weak was more than likely finished, but Kujo wasn't looking too hot either. Although the little dragon could still stand, it was difficult for it to continue a battle.
